This was from Sof's grade 3 recipe book of everyone's familly favorites. This was hers. This was how she described it: "I chose this recipe because my nanny used to make this for me and I thought it was really yummy."

 2 eggs, beaten
  cup buttermilk
 ½ cup vegetable oil
 1 cup mashed bananas
 5 ½ cups sugar
 3 ¼ cups flour
 1 tsp baking soda
 ½ tsp salt
 ½ cup nuts (optional)

Blend eggs, milk, oil and bananas. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add sugar to banana mixture, then try ingredients. Add nuts.

Pour into 9" x 5" loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.
