Grandma used to make these with pork cutlets, but the sauce itself is usable for many things.

Yields1 Serving
 1 tsp ginger
 ¼ cup oil
 ½ cup soy sauce
 4 tbsp brown sugar
 pinch vinegar
 meat of your choice - pork cutlets or chicken

Mix together and layer with meat in a flat baking dish. Pour remaining marinade over and put in fridge 5-6 hours - overnight is preferable .

To cook, place in broiler on second highest shelf and broil 3-5 minutes depending on thickness (check time based on meat you are using - this time is for pork cutlets).
Brush with marinade once or twice while cooking.
