Authentic Greek Salad by Akis Petretzikis (watch the video)I found this wonderful video when I was trying to figure out the difference between mediterranean and greek salad. Please watch it so you can get in the mode of Greece. If you have some greek music that you can turn on and dance around whilst you’re preparing, please do so as well. You will thank me when you try. Mango, arugula & peanut saladThis is quite delicious! Pinos gris or sauvignon blanc is a good accompaniment. If you make it, add a photo as this one isn’t quite right.
Chilean Tomato Salad“Ensalada Chilena” is popular – it’s simple to make. The onions should be sliced ‘la pluma’ style (like feathers) and soaked in salt water for a bit to soften their flavour and sweeten them.
Thai Mango SaladThis yummy recipe is from Jill’s friend Paula. It’s delicious!
Ethiopian SaladThis is very simple and tomato-y, just how I like things 🙂 If you make this, please take a picture and add it as the feature image. This is actually a picture of pico de gallo but it looks similar.
Strawberry SaladI got this recipe from Deany Hetherington, it’s delicious and the kids love it!
Beyond the grave chicken saladI read about this recipe in a novel about the south, and then voila! there it was in the back of the book. It’s pretty good, too! If you make this, please add a new photo – this one is from the intervebs.
