Paleo Apple Crisp

2/3 cup butter

apples, sliced

cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom (freshly ground is best)

dates (grind up in food processor), or honey

walnuts or other favorite nuts, chopped

  • Directions

1. Melt butter in oven
2. grind cinnamon and other spices in coffee grinder
3. slice apples
4. grind dates in food processor
Mix it all together and put in oven for about 30 minutes, then add chopped walnuts for a final 10 or 15 minutes. Cook for longer if you like the apples softer.
