Shortbread cookies

These are melt-in-your mouth little cookies that we’ve always made for Christmas. Grandma used to add a bit of red or gree dried maraschino cherry in the middle which gave them a festive touch.

1 lb Butter, soft

1 cup Icing sugar

1/2 cup Cornstarch

3 cup Flour

1 tbsp Vanilla

  • Directions

Preheat oven to 325º

Whip all ingredients together until it is the consistency of whipped cream.
Drop from teaspoon on buttered cookie sheet (about 1 tbsp).
Bake 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
